Music Class…

The boys (and I) LOVED music class with Mrs. April (so much so that we hope to start back up with her again in the fall). They had a blast listening to and moving to the music, playing with all the different instruments and things (maracas, bells, scarves, sand blocks, drum sticks, balls, xylophones, etc.), and singing along. Here are a few pictures from our last class…

Forty-One Weeks…

At forty-one weeks, Xander is: eating more finger foods (like diced bananas and avocados) and loving it; trying to climb the stairs; and proving to be very tender hearted when it comes to correction (he’s sensitive to looks and tones and will pucker up and cry when you say “no sir” and won’t go back near what you’ve asked him not to do/touch…my mom tells me he reminds her of me when I was a child in that way…little buddy).

Forty Weeks…

In his fortieth week, Xander is: trying broccoli and zucchini; starting to hold on with one hand and let go with the other one when he’s cruising; winning the wiggliest-baby-during-a-diaper-change award; turning the pages in board books; and peacefully putting himself to sleep for naps.

Twenty-Nine Months…

At twenty-nine months, Jonas is: continuing to amaze and endear us every day with his uncanny ability to communicate; trying his hand at asking questions (he basically spouts off a sentence with a questioning look on his face and an upswing in tone at the end); going to sleep with the light on (he’s been doing this for a while now…I keep waiting for the phase to pass, but, as it looks like it’s here to stay, I think we need to get him a night light); starting to dress and undress himself (he’s getting really good at taking off his jammies and putting on his pants and shoes); reaching a few important potty milestones (so much that I think we might start full on training very soon); and cracking Xander up at the dinner table.
