Reading to Roman…
I love to see Jonas and Xander reading to Roman…it melts my heart.
Bowling with the Morozovs…
The boys and I celebrated the last day of winter break with Aunt Heather and Cousins Val and Annabella! Â The kids had fun bowling and eating lunch and playing at Chick-Fil-A, and Heather and I had fun catching up in the midst of it all.
Visiting with Grandma and Grandpa…
We loved our visit with Grandma and Grandpa over New Year’s weekend. We got a lot of relaxing hang time in…playing games and catching up. What a blessing to just do life together.
Polar Express at the Library…
The boys and I enjoyed a showing of the Polar Express at the library this afternoon! They came dressed in their pajamas ready to cozy up with pillows, stuffed animal friends, and blankets. The librarian passed out tickets (for prize drawings at the end) and refreshments (popcorn, lollipops, and bottled water). It was the perfect way to kick off Winter Break.

A Trip to the North Pole…
MeMe and PaPa took the boys and I on a magical ride to the North Pole aboard the North Pole Limited this afternoon!!! We drove to Chattanooga, ate lunch outside the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, watched the model train go ’round and ’round, heard the “All aboard!”, and were on our way. We got our tickets punched, heard a story, shared a milk and cookies snack, sang Christmas carols, met Santa and Mrs. Claus, and jingled our bells. We are so grateful to have had this fun Christmas adventure with MeMe and PaPa!!!
The sweetest thing was hearing what Xander said when Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas, “Whatever you want to give me.” May we all have such a heart this Christmas and always.
Storytime with Mrs. Claus…
Jonas, along with all of the first graders, sang the sweetest holiday songs at school tonight. Afterwards, we stopped into the library for Storytime with Mrs. Claus.
Thanksgiving…
We spent Thanksgiving in Virginia with Grandma and Grandpa, The Seyfrieds, The Longs, and The Paccassis. We enjoyed just hanging out with everyone…family is such a blessing!!!

Family Math Night…
Jonas and Xander enjoyed Family Math Night at school…trying their hands at multiplication buildings, math races, cup towers, block charts, geometric marshmallow and toothpick creations, and more.
Thanksgiving Program…
Xander had his Thanksgiving Program tonight at school, and it was so much fun to watch him!!! He sang and danced his little heart out, and it made me so happy to see him light up like that. Go, Xan-Man!
Halloween…
We had a fairly laid back Halloween. We went to a fun neighborhood potluck, trick or treated around the loop, passed out candy, and watched a Halloween episode of Paw Patrol before tucking in for the night. Riding and Climbing…
Jonas has fallen in love with riding his bike…I’m so thankful he finally spent enough time with it to figure out that he could do it and enjoy it. We pretty much can’t keep him off it these days which is great fun to see.
He’s also really enjoying his rock climbing class. Â It’s so fascinating to watch him scale a wall…he’s so much like his daddy.
Fun at the Park…
The boys and I stopped off at the playground this morning to enjoy some outdoor playtime and have a picnic lunch before heading to the dentist on Fall Break.
NVFD Open House…
The boys and I joined Tom at the NVFD for an Open House this afternoon. It was awesome!!! Â I was just as excited as they were…what a cool event. Â They helped a firefighter put out a fire on the fire simulator, watched a team of firefighters do a vehicle extrication, and saw a life flight helicopter land and got to see it up close. Â It was so moving for me…I’m so grateful for all of our heroes, including my dear husband, Tom!!!
Fun Run…
Jonas and Xander rocked it out at the Fun Run!!! Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored them. They loved seeing those pledges come in, were proud to raise money for technology for their school, and rejoiced over the incentives they received for every dollar pledged per lap (invisible pen, bungee rocket, and stealth flyer). They both ran 35 laps!!! It was beautiful…I get so emotional watching races like that anyway and then seeing both of my boys out there running their little hearts out filled my heart to overflowing. Go, Jonas and Xander!!!
Fall Parties…
I loved being able to help out with both of the boys’ fall classroom parties this afternoon. They had fun playing candy corn bingo, being wrapped up like mummies with toilet paper, and making monster crafts.
Activities…
For the first time this fall, the boys are all doing different activities from each other. Jonas is loving his rock climbing class, Xander is getting into piano, and Roman is all about soccer. Â We’re enjoying watching them do their own thing and find what they’re passionate about.
Walden Farm…
We joined some precious friends for a birthday party this weekend at Walden Farm. Â We went on a hayride, and the boys picked out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. The corn box and the hay bale maze were a big hit as well. It’s so fun to keep coming back here every year…it’s one of my favorite traditions. We’re looking forward to coming back and playing again before the season is over. Happy Fall, Y’all!
This Guy…
Jonas has been doing gymnastics for a while now…he has loved it but is ready to try something different. Â So, he’s going to start rock climbing classes in October!!! He’s super pumped about it and will hopefully be able to put all of that energy, determination, daring, and climbing skill to good use.
Lunch with the Boys…
Last year, I loved being able to volunteer every other week…helping out Ms. Chase (Jonas’ amazing kindergarten teacher) and getting to have lunch with Jonas.
This year, I’m excited to volunteer for Ms. Chase again (she’s Xander’s kindergarten teacher now) and to have lunch with Jonas AND Xander!!!
